In this article Georgia Brown will be examining the features of the heros journey.
The heros journey is the type of story which is well known and has been repeated over and over again all in different way but all still following that same path. These journeys usually entail of an unsuspecting hero facing their destiny.
The hero is part of what we call an archetype. An archeypal hero is one that can be defined as a character that is very similar to ones before it, meaing that the type of character is being reused by them follwing certain guidlines such as traits which can be found in many other kinds of stories.

Througout the fil it can be seen that they are following the heros journey. In the film it tells a story of Luke Skywalker our main protagonist a young man who was raised by his aunt and uncle on a small desert like planet, where he then meets his herolds of the story that being R2D2 and C3PO two robots who are bought by his uncle. He then heads on his journey meeting his mentor Obi-wan who trains him to use the force and bestows him his wapon that being a lightsabor, this can resmble to the Arthur in his story being that they both recieve an powerful weapon that will help them travel through thier journey.
In this film there are many different aestetic features throughout the length of the film. One of the first and most prominent ones is that being colour contrasts with characters, in Star Wars that being that those who are wearing lights coloured clothes and the good guys and those in dark are bad. This can mainly be seen by comparing Luke to Darth Vador, Luke wearing mostly white coloured clothing the most of the movie, and Darth Vador only being seen waering one outfit consisting of all black.
