Everyone in the world uses the term Antisocial. Majority of the time it is use to talk about a person who does not socialize with anyone at all. Some people that are known for being antisocial are the Grinch from the famous tale “How the Grinch stole Christmas”. In the movie the Grinch does not socialize with anybody. The companion he talks to is his dog Max. He lives isolated from everyone else that stays in Whoville. The most common symptoms of ASPD are aggression/impulsivity, deceitfulness and lack of remorse. Being deceitful means lying and taking advantage of others to get what they want. Lack of remorse is when a person does not care about another person’s feelings regardless of if they have been mistreated or stolen from. Many of these symptoms appear during childhood or adolescences. These individuals also start fights and engage in law breaking behaviors. There people are probably the bullies in the school. “The purpose of bullying is to harm, seek revenge, or personally attack an individual” (Gibbone & Manson 2010). They are very good liars and very arrogant. There reason they have short term relationship is because they manipulate the people they do socialize with in order to get what they want and feel like they have power. Another reason they have short term relations is because they are very promiscuous and know how to charm people to get out of certain situations. At the hospital the nurses and doctors determines what is wrong with the patient and develop a plan to help them get better. There are many nursing theorists that help to justify things. A good nursing theorist associated with this disorder is Dorothy Johnson’s behavioral systems theory. In her theory she talked four different aspects that affected the behavioral system. These four aspects are nursing, the person, the environment and health. Nursing helps the person to achieve optimum level of functioning. Johnson viewed the person as a behavioral system with patterned, repetitive and purposeful ways of behaving that link the person with the environment (Alligood and Tomey). The environment is the factors that affect the person. Health is factor the affect the person socially, physically and biologically. When talking about a person that has ASPD all four aspects come into play.
