Egypt is has the Great Pyramid of Giza, one of the 7 wonders of the world. Pyramids were originally made for tombs of the Pharaohs; they placed several different artifacts inside of the tombs for them to reach in their afterlife. Pharaohs were first brought into rule around 3100 B.C. They were not called pharaohs at that time they were called only kings, the term “Pharaoh” came around the time of “New Kingdom” (1570-1069 BCE). Egypt was split into two different regions, “upper Egypt” and “Lower Egypt”. Menes, now thought to be named Narmer, described in hieroglyphics was seen wearing to crowns, to signify unification between the two regions.
