They most likely did this because if a child was falling behind they could not let it in with the rest of the children otherwise that child would be behind in most things.This would not make the community perfect because, first of all they don’t even know what killing is. They just do this as a routine thing. ‘What did you hear?’ he asked. ‘Music,’ The giver said smiling.”They probably took music away because music sometimes explains things. Also talks about things that the community leaders did not want the community to hear. Including religious music, informational music, and even kids music would go against what they taught.This did not make the community better or perfect because, even if someone controls your life you still get to make choices of your own. Also this limits people’s ideas. Which is good in the community's case but not in the people like Jonas’s case. It is also not a good thing because life is all about imagination and thinking of things in your head and music helps with that.It states on page 102, “You and I are the only ones with access to the books.’ Jonas glanced around at the array of volumes.” They probably Kept this away from the community, so they could limit their imagination. Also keep them away from things like the bible and books about the earth and how it worked and what it was like. Because these books could teach you a lot.This did not make the community perfect because limiting peoples imagination is not very good. Especially with kids, kids need to learn how to do certain things that only books can teach you. Also they could not have fun reading books because some
