The fox has attempted numerous times to times to get it’s paws on the grapes a and satisfy his hunger, but is unable to reach them because they are too high. We can assure that the fox struggled when we read “and did his best to reach them by jumping as high as he could into the air”, demonstrating the fox’s persistence. Being hungry, thirsty, or feel we need to sleep are major physiologic needs. In front of those vitals necessities, we would do what was necessary to reduce them. The fox could have stayed and keep trying to reach the grapes. Also, he could have tried to find a different solution and not just jumping. But he is a fox, and as a fox he has limits. He could stay and jump until waste his energies trying to reach the grapes or move on and try to find a better opportunity. An opportunity that fits his real skills.
