The beginning of the film Lorenzo is portrayed as a happy, bright and enthusiastic child. Throughout, the film Lorenzo’s body begins to deteriorate; therefore, his abilities and capabilities are slowly diminishing. First, Lorenzo is able to speak three languages, run, and play with his peers. After, being diagnosed with Adrenoleukodystrophy also known as ALD Lorenzo’s body started to change and degenerate. Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) disrupt the breakdown of certain fats causing, the buildup of very-long-chain fatty acids in the nervous system. This disrupts normal activity in these parts of the body.
