Science and society are currently positioned at a very advanced pace. The past twenty-five years have exploded into a heavy load of electronics pushed around the world. Yet, this has been hindered in quite a number of ways. For example, when the Turks conquered the Eastern Roman Empire, all of Europe fell into a Dark Ages. These Dark Ages were a crucial period where all science and knowledge was lost. Europeans’ knowledge of the great past was forgotten and Europe eventually recovered hundreds of years later. From that moment, we learned from our history, careful not to repeat the loss of sciens (that which is known). We grew from there and eventually morphed into the technology and society we have today. Imagine if we had not had that regression.
