A balance between Democracy and Efficiency was the ideal government system; however, Parliament favored the efficient system more if the government manages to gain control of both the House of Representatives and Congress. Democracy is basically a government that is all about the people and for the people. For instance, in a democracy, the society has a voice on choosing what principles of a rule or law that will be use, what protection is needed to maintain basic human rights, equal participation is voting for better improvements in the environment, and having fair and often hosting elections. This power is done through elected representatives by the citizens. In our society, our government has different of political parties that contain individuals in politics to secure goals and improvements for the city. When these individuals are running for office positions, it is important use their views and what they have to offer and to convince other individuals and citizens whom think/believe these goals are important to them as well. It is very common for election days to be very busy, competitive, and conflicting when there different parties running for the same positions. The Presidency is a major institution in the United States but not in the Mexican Government. Both countries political system is surrounding by the presidency. For instance, in the United States, the President serves as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces as well.
