The effect of the Stamp Act wasn’t too great. The colonists protested it, the colonists created the sons of liberty to harass the tax collectors, colonial courts shut down, and businesses ignored the law. This resulted in a lot of arguing amongst the colonists and the parliament.
Finally, the Stamp Act repealed in 1766 due to the London merchants complaints that trading suffered from the colonial boycott.
