One may only think of taste when finding similarities and differences between different cuisines. What is easily overlooked is how much the texture of the experience subconsciously affects their opinion of the dish. The best way to understand the effect that Lasagna and Shepherd’s Pie have on your sense of touch is by understanding the way that they’re made.
Begin with the noodles when making Lasagna as this is the most tedious part of the process. Start by creating a pile of about two and a half cups of flour onto a kitchen board. Create a hole in the middle of the flour to create a “bowl”. Crack open two large eggs into the hole you created. As your pouring the eggs stir them with a fork to mix the yolk and egg white together. While stirring the egg, slowly add flour into the mixture until the eggs aren’t runny. After your finished with that add the remaining flour. Be careful not to add too much flour as this will make the dough too powdery. While combining the mixture add in a pinch of salt. Continue to knead the dough until it becomes a smooth ball. Wrap up the dough and allow it to sit for about a half hour. After allowing the dough to process, you now need to create the

After doing this, you can then begin your third layer of the dish. Heat a pan on the stove to about a medium heat. Add a pound of raw hamburger to the pan to cook. As grease begins to excrete from the meat be sure to watch for popping. As the hamburger begins to get tougher and brown, start chopping it with your spatula to make it into a grounded meat. When it becomes more firm and less gushy and raw, remove the pan from the heated burner. Allow the meat to cool for a couple of minutes and then drain the grease from the pan.
