The Walt Disney Company is one of, if not the most, successful media businesses in the industry. Since Walt Disney created the character Mickey Mouse in 1928, his first successful character, he continued to expand his company. The production of Snow White, Fantasia, Pinocchio, Dumbo, and Bambi from 1937-1942 featured incredible development of animated film. Since then, The Walt Disney Company is one of the most profitable companies in the world, with an income of $45 billion in revenue and $10.7 billion in operating profit this past year.

Disney consumers are also typically women about 25-44 years of age, and with families. In regards to their theme parks, a vast majority of visitors are six to twelve years old. However, Disney theme parks have attractions that people of all ages are able to enjoy. Disney’s Television network, Disney Channel, is extremely popular amongst kids ages seven to thirteen. The Disney Channel has a wide variety of shows, which young kids can enjoy on their own or with their families. In example, the previous global economic crisis absolutely changed Disney’s marketing strategies.
