In The Odyssey by homer, the character Odysseus is a sad/depressed character motivated by going home to see his wife and kid. He was sad,sad because he has spent all this time without his family and his family without even knowing whether he is alive or not, not knowing whether to move on or not, h feels alone even though he has his men with him or women he still feels traped inside something he feels he wont ever be able to get out of when he is almost home something gets in his way and brings him back further and further and he is on a spot where he does not know whether to give up or not he is almost hopeless but in a way he is still determend to get home. His wife is also in gref she cries every night because she has no idea what has happend
