Bishop speak, the most impactful part of her story was her persistence and continuing faith. Obviously, forgiving the man who murdered her family is unbelievable, brave, and gracious, but the action that impresses me the most is her continuing progress. She did not stop. After forgiving Biro mentally, she forgave him face to face. Continuing to spread mercy, Bishop began to share her story around the country through her book and personal visits. She also still visits Biro often. Ms. Bishop never stopped progressing; she never plateaued. Always moving forward, Bishop found new ways to impact the lives around her and spread God’s love. Even in the midst of strong family conflicts, Bishop managed to overcome the obstacles to follow God’s plan for her life. Her perseverance is admirable, and her consistency is worthy of praise. Bishop has taken her experience and knowledge as a lawyer to defend the helpless and serve her community. After I graduate from Walsh University, I hope to make an impact on the lives of others as well. As a physical therapist, my job will be to rehabilitate patients. My dream is to become a pediatric physical therapist so that I can be a positive example and encourager to those children who need it most. Last year, my boyfriend was involved in a terrible car accident. As a result, he was hospitalized for over six months. Because his body had been burned, deconditioned, and malnourished, he required extensive physical therapy when he was able to participate. Attending every session, I witnessed firsthand the improvement in strength, endurance, and spirit. The physical therapists assisting him were firm yet compassionate, and that is how I want to be in the future. My goal is make this lifechanging impact on many children and patients. I want to give patients a second chance by helping them get back their former lifestyles. Physical therapy is painful and stressful, but my objective is to encourage patients to persevere and look forward to the final outcome.
