A cool, cloudy, but dry night rolls over the friendly confines northern Chicago. Two rabid packs of fans starved, and now frothing at the mouth as the taste for his or her team to finally take the title back home becomes more of a reality every night. With either outcome a drought will be ended, and a flood of emotion will consume the nation. It was Game 5 of the 2016 World Series and there can only be one! The Cleveland Indians have been riding a dry spell since winning the second championship in franchise history in 1948. The Indians have historically struggled from 1960 to 1993 with only one third place finish in 1968. A large part of the struggles the Indians have faced throughout the years has been commonly believed to be caused by The Curse of Rocky Colavito. Rocky Colavito is still a beloved figure in Cleveland, a lot of this is stemming from his hitting prowess earning himself the 1959 home run champion. Terry Francona did not unleash the full power of the Cleveland bullpen who has been pitching very well, in particular Andrew Miller. They did have to make a tough decision when giving Trevor Bauer the ball to start. The Cubs were a very good hitting team during the Regular Season especially when seeing the same pitcher twice. Bauer pitched a .671 OPS the first, and .675 OPS the second time through the order. He pitched a solid game but it was a moot point as the offense just could beat the Cubs pitching staff. Francona changed his game plan for this game leaving his starter in longer than normal this October. It should not be farfetched of an idea he would rather win the championship in Cleveland, and but he would still gladly take the win on the road.
