With the decision being made a individual will have the ability to live rather than die and be mourned by there family. Where with Janice she has no family and isn’t even aware of her situation or the overall situation. Overall more would be benefitted if Janice were to be taken off the ventalator allowing her to giver her organs to individuals that critically need them. Keeping her alive when she can not even breathe on her own has no benefit where as giving individuals organs is giving them the tools to live there life. Those recieving the organs would be able to live out there life having a job, creating a family and doing everything a person can do in life maximizing happiness. Janice would be just a body, even if she were to recover she wouldnt be the same individual and the likelyhood of her being functionaal is slim. Nothing is known if she would be in pain or not but if she were to be there would actually be no happiness just pain from every angle.
