Everyone is ambitious, whether it is to a great extent or a minimal extent. Ambition can either encourage one to be the best they can be or unleash the devil inside who does things for personal benefit. In William Shakespeare’s play The Tragedy of Macbeth, one sees the consequences of ambition when an individual goes through numerous challenges to get what he wants. The main character, Macbeth, goes from hero to zero. His downfall begins as three witches prophesize his future of becoming King of Scotland.
