Do you like reading books that have a movie to go with it? Have you ever read the bluest eye? Or have you watched the Color Purple ? If so I would recommend if you haven’t already to watch the movie.If you watched the movie than I would recommend reading the book.Only because they both many similarities. Yes they do have some differences,but if you enjoyed the book or need a better understanding of the book than I would highly recommend for you to see the Color Purple which would cover the main points.In this paper I would be comparing the movie and the book and as well I will be starting some differences.
To start off ,In these both African American families their is struggles.The book and the movie both include:Rape,Domestic violence ,and go through hard struggles.In the movie and in the book there is two women who get raped.The was a lot humiliation through the book and the movie.Pecola's character in the movie was Celie,and they were both raped by their fathers.They both had a baby.Celie had two children,and Pecola only had one.Which Pecola's baby died and Celie baby’s survived.Celie children were taken from her.She thought that her children were dead,but later she found out that they were sold.Towards the end of the movie Celie meets her children.
Just like Celie how she got raped by her father so did Pecola.These girls had the same thought of process/“dream”.Their life’s where very harsh and cruel.Pecola's blames herself for all her
