Opening: Throughout History, America has been the Country of doers and of independant people. The fabric of America was born on the founding Fathers and Mothers of our country having an desire for self independence, that all started in 1776.
Paragraph 1: Britain had made the colonists think that they were their own separate union through Salutary Neglect. Salutary Neglect is the art of make a group of people govern themselves and be on their own with rules for a while but then having an authoritative figure snatch away their rules and self governing after they have been left alone for a while. The colonists did not like this at all because they knew the British were only there to baby them and to the Colonists who were independant people this was a stab in the back. Many of the Colonists had gotten the idea that the British were their to watch them because of how common it was becoming for people to smuggle goods without the British’s watchful eye making sure that everyone got a fair profit and abided to the rules. Although it sounded like the British had good intentions to “protect” the colonists from the Native Americans it was becoming more obvious that wasn’t their goal because the settlers hadn’t had a bad run into the Natives in 100 years.
Conclusion: Although the British may have thought they had the right intention on trying to keep this new Colony safe in the New World, it was a reason for the Colonists to want to break free because the British had been babysitting them to long and this first generation of Americans had passion and perseverance which is why they were so successful. In this case the Colonists were just in going to war with Britain because they had plan and were set on achieving that goal, because the colonists had drive and passion it was the reason they were just and won against the World’s Greatest
