Pedophilia is a mental disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences sexual attraction toward prepubescent children. There is a fine line between a pedophile and a child molester. Pedophiles have intense and reoccurring sexual urges toward children and fantasies about them which causes distress. As for child molesters, they act upon the sexual urge towards kids. Pedophilia is also a psychosexual disorder. The fantasy or act of engaging in sexual activities with an adolescent is preferred and achieving sexual excitement or gratification.
