There is many risks that come with obesity especially with someone so young. Obesity can make everyday tasks much more difficult and increases the chance of death. While many parents ignore that fact that their child is obese they are putting their child’s life is danger and suffrage. Obesity is dangerous in every age but it is more casual in a child because the body is so young and is not fully developed yet.

Most believe it is just something elders suffer from but anyone can have high blood pressure if they do not take care of their body. Our blood normal flows through out body with our heart’s pumps but with hypertension it is different. (Beckerman, 2014) “The vessels widen and contract as needed to keep blood flowing well. In a person with hypertension, however, the blood pushes too hard against the blood vessels, which can cause damage to blood vessels, the heart, and other organs.” This can cause sever damage as well as other diseases. It puts the child at risk of developing heart failure, kidney problems, stroke, diabetes, and sleep apnea. All of these risked are things adults or elders fear of being diagnosed with, so imagine a child knowing that they can get this at any minute now if they continue their unhealthy life style. Heart failure can cause a heart attack, diabetes if not taken care one can end up with amputations of limbs, and sleep apnea will have a child sleeping with a machine and walking with an oxygen tank. It seems ridiculous that at just the age of 13 she is living the life of a much older person. She is trapped in her own body in which she has absolutely no control over and depends on medication and medical help to help her get by. She should be enjoying being in school and having a great time with her friends but instead obesity is holding her back from having that life that is causing her to isolate herself from society. Children suffering from obesity are prisoners in their own body in which they have no control in. Children depend in adults in their lives and they control what goes on around them.
