The machines that were used, ran off of fossil fuel for the main source of energy. The burning of fossil fuel caused for the release of CO₂ to be present in the atmosphere. This is a cause for Global warming indirectly; it subconsciously effects our glaciers around the world. Due to the increase temperature of the Earth, it causes the Glaciers to melt more rapidly than earlier years has shown us. Many scientist have taken pictures to compare years, and have gone out to study the effects of Global warming that has on the Glaciers. Many Glaciers are not only melting faster, but they are also losing their mass as well. In many places like India, during their dry season the melting of Glaciers is needed in order for them to be able to harvest food, not only for their needs, but the United States; imports some of their crops as well. If Global warming keeps happening at the rate in which it is going, in a few years, all the glaciers are no longer going to be present and it will ruin India’s rice, wheat and soy crops. The domino effect of this will cause food prices to go up, and hurt the …show more content…
If the Glaciers continuously melt at their current rate; while water might be in supply now, the damages it will cause later will have a greater impact. Over population, as well is a more that is a factor of Global warming, because over populated cities do not contain the cleanest air, and typically have a thin layer of pollution in the sky. The gases that are trapped in these cities causes for more greenhouse gases to remain in the atmosphere, instead of escaping. Alter methods of energy are needed if we want to see a climate change. We need to make a switch to more clean energy solutions, for example the amount of CO₂ gases that are released into the air from Coal Fire Plants is equal to the amount of half a million cars, trucks, and Semi trucks. If we made the change to having cleaner air, by making the costly switch now to Hybrid energy cars, Wind energy, Solar energy, and something as simple as changing your lightbulbs to a more energy efficient blub. We can save us from the damaging future of water shortages, hotter temperatures, higher food prices, and animal
