The experts in the documentary think that it is not normal to invite friends when your child has just been kidnapped. I kind of agree with them in that point, but I can also understand the Ramseys. Their child has just been kidnapped and they are looking for emotional support. Someone they can talk to and hold on to. But because their house was pretty crowded now, Linda Arndt wanted the parents to do something to distract themselves. She told John and one of the family friends to search the house from top to bottom. Instead of doing what he was told, John started at the bottom of the house as if he knew where to find his daughter. He opened the door of the wine cellar, said something about finding his daughter and then turned on the lights. John then picks JonBenet up and carries her upstairs. After he kind of realized there was no help and that his daughter was dead, he put a jacket on her so he won’t have to look at his daughter the whole time which I think is totally
