The murder of Hae Min Lee took place in Baltimore County in 1999. This was just one of 17,030 murders across America in 1999. The case included the murder Adnan Syed who was convicted for the murder of Hae Min Lee in 1999. He committed this murder out of rage because Hae Min Lee split up with him. His close friend Jay Wild claimed to be an accomplice in the murder and was a major role in convicting Mr. Syed. Adnan Syed is guilty of the murder of Hae Min Lee because he is not able to provide a solid alibi, and the cell records place him in leakin park during the time of the murder, however the others claim there is a lack of DNA evidence to pin on Mr. Syed it is still clear that he is guilty of murder. Syed committed the murder of Hae Min Lee. While there was not any physical evidence placing Adnan Syed at Leakin park during the time of the murder. The lack of physical evidence as “for the rope, which, from a photo, looks sorta like a laundry line, it wasn’t tested at all, for anything”(Koenig). The neglect the police had on all potential evidence is one of the reasons Mr. Syed’s DNA was not found at the body of Hae Min Lee. It also shows that because Adnan Syed’s lack of a solid alibi and his phone records, physical evidence was not needed to build a solid case.Once again a lack of physical evidence which was noted in court “There was no physical evidence linking Syed to Lee's murder, and there are no witnesses who saw them together around the time of Lee's disappearance or the alleged time of the murder”(Everett). This shows that even though there was a lack of physical evidence in court the jury still had enough evidence from Jay and the cell records to convict Adnan Syed. Adnan Syed was a very smart individual and him and Jay Wild would not leave much tangible evidence to begin with. Adnan Syed is guilty of murder although there is no physical evidence, he is unable to create a supporting alibi, and his cell phone records place him in the park at the time when jay said he dumped the body of Hae Min Lee As previously stated Adnan Syed is unable to provide a solid alibi for his day leading up to the murder, and his cell records place him in leakin park during the time of the body dumping Even though there was no physical evidence at the scene there was never extensive DNA testing to begin with. As a result of this Adnan Syed is guilty of the murder of Hae Min

It is important to shed light on the injustices of African Americans; such as Trayvon Martin born on February 6, 1995 and died on February 26, 2012, have to endure in this country. This is a legal problem centered on black women and men being gunned down by police officers prior to any chance for the judicial system to do its work, with police officers or a state actor who walk away with no repercussion. This was truly a heartfelt in many ways as myself being an African American seventeen year old teenager could have just imagine how his parents felt of this tragic outcome. The obstacle that Trayvon Martin faced was unjust and unfair. Trayvon Martin’s death was a perfect example of the racial divides in America presently, because Black Lives Matter.…

Adnan Syed - Guilty Ever since “The Judiciary Act of 1789”, the United States courts system has been accurately convincing some of the most ruthless and dangerous criminals the world has seen. It has been able to accurately distinguish the difference between innocent and guilty and kept lying criminals from escaping unscathed. The case of Adnan Syed is no different, even though Serial a podcast series narrated by Sarah Koenig may suggest differently. It is evident that Adnan is culpable of killing his ex girlfriend Hae Min Lee because his claim of innocence just does not make sense, and the fact he has a reasonable motive makes him very suspicious; that combined with a witness named Jay, who was willing to testify against his good friend…

There are various elements that play a role in solving cases; evidence is a one of these key elements. It is also bad for his case when there are phone records and accounts of him acting strange on the day of her murder. Jay seems to be the only one that has a story that is sound enough to have Adnan as the main suspect.…
