The British Colonies were just an add-on to the British civilizations. The Royal Navy helped them during the Age of Discovery establish good connect with trading. What the rebellion did was scare the white down South, and lead to slave codes and reforms to make the revolt harder. This included problems to free your slaves through freedom. Few people in the South viewed the slave revolts as proof that slavery was unchristian. By 1783 many blacks participated, some were free and other were victims. The slaves with high expectations were ready to for a revolution that might offer them freedom. The Declaration of Independence stated liberty for all men but failed to end slavery. Which congress excluded black soldiers from the army. Even though the black participated in the Revolution whether it was voluntarily or had no choices fought for the Bristish. The enslaved supported the side who had the best chance to escape bondage. Virginias governor promised them freedom. The black joined Dunmore until he was defeated and forced to move out of Virginia
