Bill Gates made the Gates foundation it is the worlds largest charitable foundation. It funds a variety of programs that seek to improve the health, education, and well-being of people in the United States. He was also the founder of Microsoft a program company that changed the way we work. He was probably the most influential guy in changing into the technological age. The gates foundation focuses its giving in the areas of education, global Heath, libraries, and the Pacific Northwest. This program helps ensure that kids will get to go to collage and possibly a great job. "The Gates foundation has given about 22 billion dollars, They gave annually about $1 billion to the poor. Their out reach programs help with education in global health for the underprivileged. The Gates foundation funds a variety of health companies worldwide such as vaccines for vaccines and malaria"(leading American business ) Their educational efforts including Meyer scholarships for colleges and high schools and help support to raise money for computers for schools and for public libraries in the United States and Canada.The funding that goes towards Gates foundation mainly comes from the gates fortune in computer programs or the company known as Microsoft. Most of the money Bill Gates puts in is from his work on Microsoft.

He did this because of his determination to make his company succeed and to make his mark on history. "They credited much of this success to Gates's ability to capitalize early and effectively on industry trends and his willingness to take risks on such fledgling technologies as Microsoft's CD-ROM-based software packages, which became industry standards. Furthermore, Gates had organized the company's structure."(encyclopedia), he structured his company like this to maximize his resources and keep his company above all the others. His new software was made for the soul purpose to make us a technological country and world so we could do things a lot easier than ever before.
