When I think about seeking a childcare setting for my six month old, all I can think is that I want the best. Childcare can be very expensive these days and still not cracked up to be what they say they are. I don’t have much money so being in a price range that can meet my budget would help significally. I want to know about the interactions and how my child is doing day by day. Many people choose not to pay attention to the growth of their child or may not notice signs that something could be possibly wrong in the early stages of their life. I want teachers who can spot these things immediately and report them to me immediately as well. Knowing that my child is doing well and growing at the rate that they are supposed to , along with exploring new things that they should in their age group reported to me by the daycare teacher would give me a better insight on the childcare institution that I have chosen for my 6 month old. “Most important is to know your own child's temperament, likes and dislikes, health, interests, and behavior. For a baby under 1 year old, give careful attention to your child's need to be nurtured and held, any special health needs, and the type of person you want to care for your little one during the first year of life”.(2012)
The cost of a daycare or childcare facility should be affordable and worth every dollar being paid to the facility. Like I said in the beginning I don’t want to have to come out of pocket for something that is not included for my child but older children on administration fees for the facility. I want to pay for a good healthy environment all while not being robbed of all the money that I work for. It is very hard trying to find a daycare where you can get all this without coming out of pocket for it but hopefully some institutions have help or can refer me to a place that will help me to cover some of the
