Global Warming is an increase in the earth 's atmospheric and oceanic temperatures widely predicted to occur due to an increase in the greenhouse effect resulting especially from pollution. The Earth 's temperature is rising every year, between 1906 and 2005 the temperature rose 1.1 degrees to 1.6 degrees and has doubled in the last 50 years. The greenhouse gases are needed for human life on this earth, global warming is slowly taking out these gases and hurting the planet and the the human and wildlife. Since 1975 scientists and environmentalists have been studying global warming and the effects climate change has had on earth. Global warming has the potential to shake up many things in the world, like changes to rainfall and snow patterns, increase droughts and severe storms, reduce lake ice cover, melt glaciers, change plant and animal behavior, and increase sea levels. Other things like longer and more damaging wildfire seasons, more frequent and intense heat waves, and many health impacts on humans.
