Slavery and State Rights Verses Federal Rights. Why was it necessary that a civil war between the North and South was the outcome? This was the era of the industrial revolution, a young emerging country the United States just gained its freedom for England, a time where science/discovery were happening and awareness that barbaric styles proved to render useless.

In the south they felt the federal government should be more involved in state matters. Now mind you the constitution is still in the early years. The Revolution was not that long ago. There is still some fine tuning needed for the constitution. When the south was not received in a matter that suited them, they then nullified themselves and moved toward a secession.
Was a civil war necessary, in my opinion yes. A lot of great things happened after this war, put based on the principles of this war.
During and after the American civil wars other countries took notice. Individuals realizing the power of voice and standing united for a reason. Unions, equal rights for all races, genders, sexual preference and religion all came under the scope. If there was an injustice people took notice and stand united to make a change for the better.

I find it really sad that after a 155 years there is still a reason for civil uprisings. You would think that most people have either learned or lived inequality and that it would not be tolerated. Common sense. I personally do not understand why it took this long for only part of the world to accept and acknowledge same sex marriages. Seriously in this day of age, we are nick picking at a beautiful thing love. This should be a given you should be able to love and marry whomever no strings attached.
