The famous statue weighs roughly 635 tons, and stands at around 125 feet tall. Just by glancing at a world map, people assume that it's decently smaller than America. Yet that isn't exactly true, Brazil is the size of America, or even larger. In fact, Brazil borders every other South American nation. It even takes up 47% of the entire South American continent! Another thing that blew me away about this country was the capital Brasilia, which was only built in an insane 41 months. Brazil isn't just full of modern cities however, it is also home to favelas, which have become very famous tourist places. These villages are extremely densely packed both literally and figuratively. Brazil is a very widely recognized country, its was even home to our last Olympic Games! This part of the continent of South America is home to crazy things. Visiting this very diverse place is excellent for somebody who is looking for interesting people, amazing food, historical locations, and intricate terrain that includes beaches and densely populated villages.
