Tennessee is a state with moderate climates, rich cultural heritage, and a nice environment. It has warm summers and mild winters. While hiking on the Appalachian Trail you sit on a tall rocky mountain thinking all about the mountain’s history. It is a peaceful place for tourists. Tennessee had many historical events like the civil war on the battle of Shiloh. At the end of the war, much of Tennessee was destroyed. However, it is also known as the state of music because of Elvis Presley’s graceland. Its cities get pretty crowded but the people are kind there. There are several parks with unique features. One of it’s famous tourist hiking attraction is “Great Smoky Mountains national park”. It marks the east of tennessee and goes through appalachian trail. Another one is Elvis Presley’s graceland home in Memphis, Tennessee. Its height is 13.8 acres long. The third one is the cumberland trail and is 185 miles long still under construction. While other places about people are Andrew Johnson historic site, Hermitage, and the James K. Polk Ancestral home. However, the historic site has both of his homes and his national cemetery in 1946. The hermitage was bought by Andrew Jackson in 1795 and he moved in it at 1804. His 250th anniversary will be on his birthday March 15, 2017. He was also on the 20 dollar bill. The James K. Polk Ancestral home was built by James’s father and has over 1000 objects owned by him. Some interesting facts about Tennessee’s war attractions are the national war heritage area, Nashville, and Belmont Mansion. That war heritage area talks about the civil war from 1860 to 1875. Nashville had a battle in 1864 and it was won by the union. Belmont mansion is the largest mansion in Tennessee and was owned by a union general. Tennessee has a unique amusement park called Dollywood named after Dolly Parton. The Dollywood splash country also referred to Dolly Parton’s childhood when he swam in the great smoky mountains
