As a new teenage driver in 2017 there are a lot of things you need to be careful and aware of when you are new to driving! If you live in a cold state like Wisconsin you need to be careful about ice and snow. If you live in a hot state you need to worry about tires popping on hot highways. While driving there are little things you need to pay attention to like making sure to stop fully at stop signs and wearing a seat belt at all times. In this paper I will be informing you all about the important things about being a new teenage driver.

When you are driving on ice and snow you need to be extremely careful since it's more slippery and easier to get in an accident than in the warmer months of summer. When driving you should go slower than the speed limit and be make sure to go slow around curves or when making turns so you don't slip or slide. You need to make sure you know how to use your brakes when slowing down and stopping. If you step on the break really hard and you are over a patch of ice you could slip and hurt you or the people around you. Make sure you always have a first aid kit in your trunk and a jumper cable if your car doesn't start in the cold weather. Try to set a designated time to be home by so you aren't driving too late when there could be more drunk drivers and more overtired drivers. If you are coming from somewhere late at the night you should see if your parents could pick you up or a more experienced driver. When you become more experienced and can drive in the dark, there are a few things you should know. Always have your headlights on and have 100% of your focus on the road.
