Reflective analysis of team Second Chance between May 9th 2016 and June 22nd 2016 during a summer course taken at Wilmington University. The course dealt with high performance teams and began with the formation of my team on day 1 of our course. The first part will be how the team was selected, then how the decision was made to create our name and our product. Next will be the weekly observations leading up to week 7 and closing on any last minute team observations. Beginning on 9 May 2016, the first day of class we had the opportunity to sign up for our individual team. The research everyone had collected installed much needed confidence that this group will do well. All of our assigned task were completed on time and throughout the week there was increased communication between members. Here you could see the process of Norming becoming reality as everyone began to socialize and were more comfortable with each other. There has been a degree of personal difficulty and sort of a personal joke for me. On week one my desk top computer died on me, on week two my lap top screen died and on week three my printer died. I had mentioned it to my group at this meeting and from that moment on nothing else broke, though my thumb drive seemed unappreciated in week five after several tries it did indeed work. The point with this is it forced me to reach out to my team mates to print out slides or to email extra stuff instead of me doing it. Sometimes I have a tendency to just do it knowing that it will be done and with those above glitches it forced my hand. At the close of this week we agreed to come up with a working slide show presentation, something we could work with over the next two …show more content…
Will it be the best presentation of the night only time will tell? I do know it will be creative and shine with innovation. This will also reflect our performing stage and after this class we will move into our adjourning part of Tuckman’s stages of group development. We as a group used questions to better understand how our product and process was understood. We even questioned how to best present our slide show. By observing various methods we were able to decide on what we thought were best approach methods in articulating our ideas. We used networking to acquire ideas previously seen and utilized them in our presentation. The brochure was definitely something we had seen used in other classes and so we incorporated it into our presentation. Through experimenting we found fun and surprising ways to use animation throughout our presentation. Now they were not all right initially but we stuck with our idea and made some magic. OF course emotions began to run high as frustrations over why some videos worked or did not work; however through it all we managed to put something together while learning something about each
