RECONSTRUCTION

PRE-CRASH:

On 06-24-2016 at approximately 1937 hours, Vehicle 1 was eastbound on Tarpon Springs Road, east of the intersection of Jiretz Road. The driver of Vehicle 1 swerved off the south road edge, in an attempt to avoid striking an object lying in the roadway. The driver of Vehicle 1 overcorrected his steering as he attempted to re-enter the roadway. Vehicle 1 began to rotate counterclockwise, leaving approximately 86 feet of tire marks, continuing into the westbound lane of oncoming traffic. Vehicle 2 was westbound on Tarpon Springs Road and from the lack of pre-impact tire marks, Vehicle 2 appeared to have not locked his brakes. Through the reconstruction of the crash, the angles at which the vehicles impacted showed the driver of Vehicle 2, did attempt to swerve to the right, in an attempt to avoid the collision. Vehicle 3, was westbound on Tarpon Springs Road behind Vehicle 2. When the crash occurred, the driver of Vehicle 3 swerved off the road to avoid the crash. In doing so, Vehicle 3 struck a barbed wired fence, causing very minor damage to her vehicle.

AT CRASH: The front and right front of Vehicle 1 struck Vehicle 2 on the left front. Due to the impact, Vehicle 1 rotated in a counterclockwise direction. Vehicle 2 after and due to impact,

I utilized the sine value of the angle determined by the path of travel of Vehicle 1 versus the angle of approach at measured distances during the rotation. In conjunction with the standard speed loss equation, the sine value is applied to the coefficient of friction value. The coefficient of friction value of .750 for the asphalt roadway I utilized, was based on skid testing conducted at the crash scene by Detective Carter # 181968. The result based on this analysis is a speed loss of approximately 23.82 miles per hour during

Velocity is defined as the speed of an object that is going in a certain direction. Also in the passage about Renatta Oyles journey it states she is traveling right to left indicating she is starting on the right and ending on the left and in the calculation she has a negative velocity indicating she will be traveling to the left and not the right.…

As the name implies, a wheel-off trucking accident occurs when a large truck loses one or more wheels while on the road. When a wheel separates from a semi-truck, it can strike a pedestrian, crash into the ground-floor room of a building through a window or glass door, or strike other motor vehicle traffic. Some of the worst accidents occur when a wheel crosses into the lane of oncoming traffic and collides head-on with a vehicle. Wheel-off accidents are usually caused by improper tightening of the wheel lug nuts. Here are three common ways this happens: The Lug Nuts Are Over Tightened…
