Tamia Fluker’s Critique
Professor Jaye gave his English 101 class an assignment to write a literacy narrative. The narrative’s objective was to discuss a time in one’s life that impacted their literacy growth. Tamia Fluker’s literacy narrative “A Day in the Life of a Reader” successfully met this objective. Although Fluker’s essay had a lot of positive areas there were a few areas in which she could improve.
First, Fluker started with a title that did inform the reader’s on what she was writing, however, it was a bit hard to understand. Fluker had a great introduction on explaining what her literacy narrative would be about. Her literacy narrative was based on how she was ascending to the first grade and learning how to read.
