In the world today, there are over 3 million slaves, and one woman is trying her hardest to save each and every one. Tami Hochalter has been risking her own life to save other’s lives by working with a non-profit organization that rescues women and children who were forced into human trafficking. There are three pieces of criteria a person must meet to receive a Giraffe Award. The criteria include: the person must take a significant risk, it must be done out of caring, and the person must go above and beyond. Tami Hochalter meets all three criteria, and is deserving of a Giraffe Award. Tami puts herself into many dangerous situations while working to rescue other’s lives.
