A tradition is the transmission of customs or beliefs from generation to generation, or the fact of being passed on in this way. My most favorite tradition is making tamales during Christmas eve. My relatives are always busy and we never have fun because they are either far away or just to busy. Making tamales is a way for my family and relatives to get together and have fun. Every single one of us gets a task that is not to hard and not to easy. We all love spending Christmas together.
My role is to put the flour into the leafs. My dad's role is to cook the chicken and pork. My mom makes the sauce. My aunt puts the filling into the leafs and my uncle makes the rice and beans that go with the tamales. All my cousins would help us with this

To experience a local aspect of Hispanic culture I visited the Tienda Mexicana La Guadalupana, a grocery store in Chapel Hill. Once inside, the term that came to mind when looking around was bodega. The store was small, but made clear use of its space, with items on the walls, shelves, and even the ceiling. This is in contrast to most “American”, or english speaking, grocery stores I have been to, as they are often wide and spacious, with plenty or room to showcase products. They commonly have bright lights; light, colorful walls; ads and signs everywhere with directions and promotional deals; and music playing over loudspeakers.…
