“Dang, look at that bass!” I told my brother as he was reeling his line in. It was in the middle of fall, leaves were falling from above. I went fishing with my brother Chris, and his best friend Austin. Austin was your typical sixteen year old; he played football and flirted with every girl. Austin and my brother act the same way, that’s how they met. ”It`s perfect weather to go fishing” Chris said spontaneously. It was around six in the afternoon that day, it was getting dark. Austin picked this strange place to go fishing. It was in the middle of a forest, there was nothing but trees. The closest house was ten miles away; then again it was the only house. We didn’t even know how Austin even found out

If Chris didn’t see this wire it would`ve sliced our necks in half. I could hear a chainsaw being started in the distance. As soon as I turned around the noise became more visible to hear. We started running so fast as if we just robbed a bank and cops were chasing us. ”Hey, look it`s a door!” Chris whispered to me as he tore it down. This particular door led to the inside of a family`s home. The whole door was drenched in blood and wreaked from the smell of the blood. It wasn’t just the door that was terrifying it was the house itself. Weapons, traps, barbwire, and gallons filled with blood were surrounding us. We found a flashlight. Once we found the flashlight, we discovered something. It was a family portrait. ”Something is not right about this portrait, Chris.” I said confused on what to think or say.
“Those aren’t humans Josette, they are embryos. Look at their physical features, they are deformed. Their teeth are razor sharp and their eyes are abnormally small and there is blood covering them. If anything they are cannibals, and according to this environment I think they are. We are in their home as a matter of fact.’ Chris said scared and

“What are we going to do now? We still have to find Austin and get out of this place.” I said worrying on what is going to happen next. We ran across the hall and there it was the cannibal with the chainsaw, soaking in blood and guts. He used human flesh as a mask to keep his embryo face hidden. “Grab that picture and break to glass.” Chris did he was told.” Now stab him.” I yelled to Chris, Chris had no thought and stabbed the cannibal. The pieces of glass stabbing him did not do much. The only thing it did was slow his rate on killing

Once I was cleared by the doctors, the woman took me to her apartment. When we arrived, I heard kids laughing as they splashed each other in the pool, and saw a group of older guys wearing bright red t-shirts with red shoe laces. I watched for a minute, absorbing everything in like a sponge.…

In the essay “Stripped for parts” written, by Jennifer Khan the general concept she is addressing is how morbid it is for dead people and their bodies to be harvested for it organs. The way she starts the essay is by using a narrative approach, and the reason there is the narrative approach is for more effect of emotion to the readers. Her thesis statement that grabbed my attention the most was “Compared with such micro scare cures, transplants- which consist of salvaging entire organs from a heart- beating cadaver and sewing them into a different body- seem crudely mechanical, even medieval (124.) ” This was the quote that best fit the essays perspective since it really brings up how it is not okay for this to be done to people. Cannibalism is a topic that evokes both disgust and wonder; while the mere idea of eating human flesh is one that makes a person’s stomach twist and turn, it is also one that brings forth the question of how far humans are willing to go in order to survive - or how twisted they can sometimes become with their desires. The question that is always raised when speaking out about the topic of cannibalism is whether or not it is acceptable in our culture, despite the backlash behind it. Before one can truly discuss this topic, however, they must realize what exactly cannibalism is. Cannibalism is defined by Merriam-Webster Dictionary as “the (usually) ritualistic eating of human flesh by (another) human being.” One must recognize the emotions…
