This part of Tai-Chi to focus and calm the mind was honestly hard for me because I was more concentrated and focus on doing the movement right rather than calming the mind. While Tai-Chi definitely takes a great deal of practice, body control and alertness they are definitely plenty of potential that I saw for mental benefits for myself. There were many instants during the exercise in which I saw how event though I was more focus on the physical aspect of it my mind felt at ease and peaceful. When I was doing yoga in class I saw many similarities between the yoga in class and the Tai-Chi I practice I home. One of them especially was the calming and relaxation that I felt in yoga was there during certain parts of the Tai-Chi forms that I was able to accomplish. leading me to believe that both of these practices share many similarities which can be attuned between each
