Taco Tuesdays Research Paper

I planned on making taco’s for dinner on Tuesday, I absolutely love Taco Tuesdays. Unfortunately, I did not have the ingredients to complete this dinner. I needed meat, cheese, and taco seasoning. Due to the restrictions of this project, I could not drive myself, walk, or have a friend take me. How was I going to do this? Fortunately, I live in a city where grocery stores, apparel, and restaurants are easily assessable. I began my adventure on google directions. First, I researched where the closest grocery store to my condominium was located. I learned that the Publix is 1.1 miles from my condominium; the Kroger is a slightly farther, located 1.8 miles from my condo. I decided on Publix, since it is the closest near my house. Now the task was how to get there? This made me wonder, do people with disabilities rely on technology to assist them when they need to travel somewhere? What did people do before the internet?
Next, I decided what form of alternate transit to use. Option one would be Marta. I often ride the Marta train to GSU, I am familiar with the cost of a train ride. However, I did not know the cost of a bus fare. Using the internet, I researched the cost of a bus fare and where the closest bus stop to my home was. The bus stop nearest to me, is only a half mile from the Publix itself. Option two was Uber. The price of an

I tried to move slowly through the grocery store, to empathize and understand how someone who has a disability might grocery shop. However, this felt guilty and I was uneased, since I do not have a disability. A small part of this activity felt wrong. Nevertheless, for the sake of the adventure, I wanted the experience to feel as real as possible. It took me 40 minutes to grab the groceries on my list and check out. Unfortunately, I did not think to call Uber while I was shopping, so the wait begin again. Luckily, this time the driver arrived within 10 minutes. I browsed the Redbox machine, as I

On Halloween night from 5:00 pm to closing time, you have the chance to get a burrito, taco, or salad from Chipotle for only three dollars! All you have to do is wear a costume and then add an unnecessary addition to it. An example would be a fairy costume and then add a mustache to your face or a ghost in high heels. The message that they are trying to say, from the costumes, is that Chipotle's food is made with all natural foods that are not processed or added with preservatives, such as how McDonalds, Burger King, and others' food are added with preservatives so that they can last longer. McDonald's and Burger King also have processed foods so that they can make the products at a cheaper price.…

Pregame meals are an important part of most sports fans’ gameday routine. My routine involves eating a Chipotle burrito bowl in front of my television prior to Tampa Bay Lightning ice hockey games. I do this in good faith that my routine will lead the Bolts, as they are dubbed, to victory. Gameday Chipotle just seemed to fit because after all, hockey is a sport full of superstition and protein-crunching athletes. By 6:30 on Saturday evening, I was ready.…

Taco Bell is one of the most popular food chains in the United States. Nevertheless Chick fila is many people’s favorite place to go for a nice all around experience. Most people believe “El Chupacabra” is a myth while others don't. Although many have claimed that they have seen it, they don’t have proof. It may just be some stray dog, or canine-type creature. One of the pieces of evidence goes something like this "It can change colors at will, has a hairy, reptilian body with spines all along its back and an obsession with blood. El Chupacabra translated into English means "the goat-sucker," because that's exactly what it does.…

From an outsider’s perspective, Dia de los Muertos is simply a colorful festival that celebrates those who have passed away. However, people who participate in this beloved holiday know that that is only the surface. Aside from the spiritual component, Dia de los Muertos is surrounded by images and figures of skulls that are called calaveras. The calavera is the central symbol of this holiday and is used to represent what is left on earth once we die and our soul ascends. Although a skull has negative connotations in most cultures, it is a symbol of hope and ironically, life to the people of Mexico.…
