SLE or Systemic Lupus Erythematosus is a very complicated disease process. According to the American College of Rheumatology,” Lupus is a destructive inflammatory disease process. It affects multiple organ systems, usually characterized by fatigue, fever, skin lesions, joint pain and swelling, anemia often affecting the kidneys and various other organs. This disease is ten times more common in women than it is in men.” SLE is a chronic disease process that there is no known cure for, basically, in SLE the immune system attacks the body’s own organs and tissue. History and symptoms of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus can be complicated to understand. According to lupus.org, “Lupus is not contagious, not even through sexual contact. You cannot ‘catch’
