Paul Ryan Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives said, "Our nation has always been welcoming, but we cannot let terrorists take advantage of our compassion. This is a moment where it's better to be safe rather than to be sorry. So we think the prudent, the responsible thing is to take a pause in this particular aspect of this refugee program in order to verify that terrorists are not trying to infiltrate the refugee population." For example, where are they going to place them and how will bringing them here will help them, considering there is nothing planned to help them. Ted Cruz republican candidate said "nothing short of crazy", about letting Syrian Muslims in the U.S. Letting the refugees in would cause chaos and different thoughts between the people, people will start talking about the Mexico border and why will they not let in the Mexican people but they will let the Syrian refugees in. Some states will let the refugees in but they will put the lives of their residents first. The states don’t want to cooperate with the U.S president; they are refusing to letting the people in. There are only seven states out of 50 that are accepting refugees. It is shocking to know that so few states will be accepting refugees the rest of the states refuse to let the Syrian refugees into their states. Legally the states themselves cannot decide if they can go in or not but, the government cannot put the refugees without letting them know.
Texas governor Greg Abbott tweeted on his personal account, "I demand the U.S. act similarly," he said. "Security comes first” referring to Texas not accepting Syrian refugees. Abbott is just protecting his states and we should all do the same thing, we do not know if all of them will be refugees or if some of them will want to attack us and come in as refugees.
