The crucible is a play that represents the Salem witch Trials and the behavior on people when practicing the dark desires. Abigail ring lord of the play has bad intentions to blame Elizabeth and get her charged with witchcraft. Abigail and a few girls who follow her danced with the devil to get the guys to like them and are now acting as if their possessed but are faking it. Abigail is the leader of this society of people. Towards the end the citizens are trying to get rid of the devil and figure out who called to them.
Ruth only surviving child out of eight was getting very sick and people of the town were getting worried that the spirits that killed the rest of her children was now coming after her. Abigail met with Tituba one of Reverends slaves with the intentions to blame her for all the witchcraft she has ordered for Tituba to teach her and blames her for corrupting her dreams to avoid people from looking at her for doing witchcraft and getting charged. Abigail casts a spell against Elizabeth then lies to hide the fact she’s the one to blame for plotting Elizabeth’s death. Abigail tries getting John to go along with her lies about Elizabeth having to do with the witchcraft and accusing her to be guilty when bAigail is really just trying to cover up her tracks more with lies. Abigail realized she needs hard evidence to show in the trial. John later signed a paper confessing to Elizabeth's witchcraft later claiming he was wrong and Abigail was who caused all the grief and were lying about Elizabeth’s trial and how her sickness what caused by her doing witchcraft.
