Symbicort: A Case Study

Part I: There are several side effects that you should look out for when taking Symbicort. Lung infection caused by bacteria or viruses, pneumonia, is one of the major side effect seen in patients taking Symbicort. If you are having a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, a type of disease that stops the the air when breathing and results in difficulty breathing, you have higher chance to get pneumonia after using Symbicort. Symptoms indicating this side effect include change in amount or color of mucus, fever, chills cough, or breathing problems. Serious allergic reactions might also result as a side effect of using Symbicort. Allergic reaction happens when your body is fighting against something that might not be good for your body coming from the outside. Being able to have the right communication skills with the physicians and healthcare providers allows me to provide my patients with quality service assuring their safety and satisfaction on the daily basis. My understanding will aid in explaining these terminologies in simple words that they can comprehend. My ability to speak a second language, Arabic, enhances the use of my knowledge of medical knowledge because I can interpret the meanings and clues of terms in two different languages fluently. Translating the information from language to language freely enforces the concepts of terms into my memory and allows me to help out delivering medical information to Arabic speakers in my community. Understanding medical terminology can also help expand my knowledge and development especially when reading primary sources of discoveries and prestigious medical research
