The course readings helped me to grow and develop as a writer. I found the readings to be a valuable addition to the course material. I certainly appreciated all of the readings, but the one that provided me the most value was Sylvia Morales' "How to Read an Academic Article." I found so much of this reading to be extreme key useful. For example, I never gave much thought to the various components of an academic article such as the title, abstract, introduction, literature review/background, methods, results, and conclusion/discussion. I sincerely wish I had the opportunity to read an article such as this earlier on in my academic career. I believe it would have enhanced my learning experience as well as my work output.
