Kekki is 6 years old Autistic child who is showing substantial delays in development of all the developmental area, which has included motor, self-help, and language, social and cognitive areas. Kekki is diagnosed with Autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), which has been adversely impact on her education. However, she is very good in her reading skills as well as computer skills. She is very energetic, active little girl who loves to play in computer. Her strength is reading area as she is able to identifies and read simple words and simple sentence. But she is struggling in writing area as she is having hard time to hold the pencil using proper fingers. She is holding the pencil using the whole palm. Her writing is only the tracing easy upper case letters. Any activities using fine motor muscle are very hard for her. Limited expressive and receptive language skills restricted her communication. That is another reason for her problem behavior as she might not able follow the direction limiting her performance in the classroom as well as home. Youth with ASD often report a desire for more peer social interaction, and may also express poor social support and more loneliness than their typically developing peers (Bauminger & Kasari, 2000). When looking into Kekki’s assessment data I could realize that the most challenging is her social behavior that has been limiting her social interaction with peers and others in the classroom. Sharing, waiting for her turn, switching activities, following rules and routines, play with peers etc, are the area she is struggling
