Chipotle has come across as one of the most well-known fast food chains that really didn’t want to be known as fast food. Their mission statement proclaims they have “Food with Integrity”. What this means is that they use organic ingredients and serves more farm raised meat than any other restaurant chain.
While Chipotle is definitely mission driven, they also focus on empowering their stakeholders by their devotion to their long term business strategy and unique culture. This helps keeps the value of investments at a high. The continued leadership and exceptional performance this definitely helps the portfolios of long term investors.

As they go through some of the items on Chipotle’s menu, they become educated as to the fresh ingredients that are being used and the processed ingredients that the fast food chain that they have been buying from uses. The marketplace is the ultimate goal which may decide their fate and they know this is where they need to be focused on. In an ever changing world, Apple, Chipotle, Google and PepsiCo rely on their mission to release every day innovation updates in keeping up with societies needs and wants. Google has released a new update to their search engine called, “Hummingbird Algorithm”. This helps people search for content. They have come a long way from just searching for words and definitions.
PepsiCo’s major change this year was the removal of aspartame. This came to be because they finally listened to consumers after 30 years since there were some issues regarding the safety of aspartame (David Samadi, 2015).
Some important concepts that make the top of the list of a successful company are talent acquisition, retention and investor loyalty. The more these companies focus on something beyond money, the more money they make. Other companies, rely on their quarterly financial performances, this is not the case when thinking about the success of a company.
