Countries that are used for sweatshops are usually exploited for two main reasons; either they do not have laws to prevent sweatshops, such as labour laws preventing poor working conditions and minimum wage or they have laws but these laws are simply ignored or have few or no repercussions at all, making it very easy for large corporations to take advantage of these countries’ shaky laws to get unethically cheap …show more content…
The beginning of the issue is corporations deciding to use sweatshops. Companies such as Gap, Adidas, Nike and Apple are all guilty of exploiting shaky labour laws and people who have no other choice but to work for less than a dollar a day, just to make more money. The above mentioned companies are all worth over a billion dollars but still feel the need to take advantage of people living in third world countries with no other choice but to work for less than a dollar a day just to make enough money to get by. It is because of these selfish and inhuman decisions that sweatshops continue to exist today. If these companies do not start making ethical decisions soon, we never see an end to
