Good afternoon/Good morning today I will be present a multimodal presentation and photocopy about sustainability in Ferny Hills.
Sustainability is when we look after the land so it the same or better for the next generations. To do this we use energy from renewable sources they include solar panels and hydroelectricity. To get water in a sustainable way we can use desalination plants which take the salt out of sea water we will also need to be more conservative when it comes to using water. We also need to have clean unpolluted air to have unpolluted air we will need more trees and contribute less to global warming to do this we need to use less cars, air conditioning, heater and anything that uses a large amount of electricity.

Ferny Hills is neither a sustainable community or an unsustainable community because there features of Ferny Hills that are sustainable and unsustainable. The sustainable features include: recycling bins, the nearby train line, the nearby bus stops, tank water, solar panels, community action group for the creek.
The local community is managed by: Community Plan (also Precinct and Master plans), Local government land use planning scheme (Morton bay), Regional plan (south East Queensland), State planning polices, State and commonwealth legislation. These people determine where and how development (e.g. urban housing, industry, schools, parks, main roads) are built. You will write or talk about the current environmental issues and how they could be prevented or ideally solved.
There are many things that we can do to make Ferny Hills a sustainable place to live. Some of those ways are to write or talk to your local government member, become and active member of community group, Write in local newsletters or be apart of planning processes (attend meeting and submit
