Surface waters are the natural water resources that are found on the earth’s surface, such as oceans, rivers, lakes or dams etc(Chen, Teng et al. 2013). These water resources become polluted in many different ways. And when this happens is called the surface water pollution, which occurs when hazardous substances come into contact with the water resources (Chen, Teng et al. 2013). These water resources are important for drinking, domestic use and recreational purposes; however they are frequently contaminated with faeces. In this assignment the focus will be on China.
