Veteran with mental health illnesses especially posttraumatic stress syndrome (PTSD) is a group that interests me. Young men and women answer the call to service. They serve to defend our country and to defend people who are unable to defend themselves .After deployment these soldiers are plagued with images that haunt them for the rest of their lives, unable to function, unable to fit back into society, locked in an internal war of their own. They are now vulnerable.…
Walking into the Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital for the first time is an experience. The shining academic center had gaping hallways, sizable windows, and modern technology. Everyone I passed greeted me with a jovial “Hi!”…

The “Ban the Box” movement was started by the civil rights movement group “All of Us or None,” in 2004. The purpose of the movement is for employers to choose their prospective employees based on job skills and qualifications instead of past convictions.…

Where did it go? What is it being used for is my question. There expenses are normal, everything added up correctly, but it’s still strange. On every site I have looked at it says they earn up to 4 billion dollars, but yet on a couple million goes to helping out the families in need.…

On November 9th, Erin and I co-facilitated a group discussion around trauma-informed practice as part of our Group Facilitation assignment as second-year nursing students. The process consisted of choosing a peer-reviewed article related to trauma-informed practice, then creating a Facilitation Plan around the article and relevant course theory, and finally facilitating a group discussion. As the next step towards the development of our group facilitation skills, we were assigned to write a critical reflection about the experience of facilitating a group discussion. Through this paper I provided a summary of our group facilitation experience, explored group dynamics, what I perceived as our strengths and challenges, what I have learned from…
The purpose of this literature review is to have a look at the various information available, regarding the relationship between stress and asthma.
